Win and You're In Contest for a Trip To The Breeders Cup Courtesy of Emirates Airlines Sam Houston Race Park Saturday August 28, 2010

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND CONDITIONS

The  2010  Win and You’re  In Contest for a trip to the Breeders Cup courtesy of Emirates Airlines ( the “Contest”)  is a  one day contest to be  held at Sam Houston Race Park  on Saturday August 28, 2010. The Contest Races will consist of five races from Saratoga and five races from Del Mar.  The specific races will be designated by noon on Thursday August 26. Contestants will be asked to make a mythical $2.00 win and place wager on each Contest Race.

The winner of the Contest will be the person with the highest mythical winnings on all Contest Races. The winner will receive two round trip airplane tickets and two VIP Tickets for the Breeders Cup to be held on November 5 and 6 at Churchill Downs in Louisville KY.

Only those who plan to use the tickets and attend the Breeders Cup should enter the Contest.  The airplane and Breeders Cup tickets will be issued in the name of the winner and his or her designated guest. The tickets cannot be resold and will be non transferable. 

 ADDITIONAL RULES AND CONDITIONS

 

• Any Sam Houston Race Park patron 21 years or older can register for the Contest.  There is no entry fee and there are no purchases required.

• The deadline to enter the Contest will be 10 minutes before the first Contest Race. Entries must be submitted by that time.  Entry forms will be available at the Players Lounge Desk no later than noon Friday August 27 and will also be posted on line. Entry forms must be deposited at the entry box which will be located at the north first floor entrance starting at noon on Friday.

 

• Each contestant may enter only one time. Contestants with duplicate entries or more than one entry will be disqualified. All fields on the entry form must be completed for an entry to be eligible.  Contestants not filling in the entry form completely may be disqualified.

 

WIN AND YOUR’RE IN CONTEST OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND CONDITIONS

 

  4)          The winner of the Contest will be the person with the highest total dollar winnings from the mythical $2.00 win and place wagers on all of the Contest Races. If there is a tie, the winner will be the person with the highest number of correct win selections.  If there is a still a tie, then there will be a drawing to determine the winner.

      5)      If a horse is scratched following the contestant’s submission of an entry form, then the horse named    by the contestant as his or her alternate selection will be used.  If both horses are scratched, then the     post time favorite will be used.

   6)     If any Contest Race is cancelled, then that race will be excluded from the Contest, and the Contest will proceed as if that race had never been designated as a Contest Race.

   7)     All winners will be notified by e-mail or phone as soon as results have been tabulated and declared               final.

•  Employees and immediate family of  Sam Houston Race Park, MAXXAM Corporation, EMIRATES AIRLINES, The Breeders Cup, or Churchill Downs, or any of their affiliates, MAY NOT ENTER the Contest. Immediate family is defined as and includes any relative residing at the same residence.

 

•  ALL INTERPRETATIONS OF THESE RULES AND CONDITIONS AND ALL QUESTIONS

NOT COVERED IN THESE RULES WILL BE DECIDED BY THE MANAGEMENT OF SAM HOUSTON RACE PARK WHOSE DECISION WILL BE FINAL AND WITHOUT ANY CLAIM FOR DAMAGES OR RECOURSE OF ANY KIND. AMONG OTHER THINGS, SAM HOUSTON RACE PARK RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DECLARE THE CONTEST NULL AND VOID AND TO WITHOLD ALL PRIZES IF THERE ARE ANY IRREGULARITIES OR UNFORSEEN PROBLEMS.

•  By entering the Contest, each contestant consents without limitations and without receiving additional compensation to the use of his or her photograph, broadcast testimonial, and/or likeness for advertising purposes by Sam Houston Race Park and its brokers or advertising agencies.
